The Auschwitz Bridge

Erynek3D created a 3D visualization of a pedestrian bridge over the Soła River, known as the “Bridge of Ghosts,” with an estimated construction cost of around 29 million PLN net.

The pedestrian footbridge, connecting the Park of Reconciliation of Nations with the former Auschwitz Concentration Camp site, is intended not only to link the two riverbanks but also to serve as a symbolic transition from the past to the present, from death to life.

The bridge’s design takes the form of a twisting ribbon. The engineering team from Arup made every effort to ensure that the realization closely aligns with the original concept created by artist-architect Jarosław Kozakiewicz.
